This holiday season we were given the opportunity to give back to an amazing family.  It was great to meet such an amazing group of people and we want to thank the Anderson family for giving us the opportunity to support them this holiday season - a family that never stops giving.

Why do we use the term "differing abilities"?

This term applies to individuals who have historically been called “disabled” or having “special needs.”  At CAA we are redefining the term ‘disability’ and refocusing the lens away from what adults cannot do, to what they are capable of doing with the abilities, passions, and interests they possess.

At CAA we are interested in sharpening, broadening, and enhancing adults abilities by providing a lifelong collegiate experience, offering classes in the arts based on their abilities and interests, creating inclusive opportunities in the community, and developing adults with “differing abilities” into successful, contributing citizens.

Please let your college students know how wonderful your Showboaters were.  The songs & motions from Grease were so much fun to watch.  I love how enthusiastic your performers were and how they acted out things so well.  I heard that the singers on Saturday were wonderful as well.  The clients really enjoyed their performance.  It was so nice for many of your performers to greet the different clients and talk to them.

About the Puppeteer Performance:  Thank you and your students (and teachers) for an amazing puppeteer performance.  The audience seemed captivated by the subject matter and music.  I loved the individual dancing by the students.  Your school song made me cry a bit.  It was so heartfelt (it was fun to do the movements to that, too).
